Easter Garden

This year I decided to plant an Easter Garden.  I saw one on Pinterest and fell in love.  It looked so easy to do and really was.  The kids were in charge of finding the materials: rocks and sticks. Jason planted the dirt and wheat grass but unfortunately it took a lot longer to come in.  I was hoping that it would be all covered in green grass by Easter.  That's okay though because its spread out the Lent season even longer.  This week it's just showing it's little green shoots.

Easter 2012

Our tradition continued of taking Easter pictures outside after church in front of the front door. It's been so neat to see how the kids have changed through the years. Here is this year's picture with an 11,9,6, and 4 year old.

Easter decor

My project Friday night during another crazy thunderstorm was to make my Easter decoration for my front door. This year I decided on a moss covered cross hanging by a spring colored ribbon. The butterfly I found was the icing on the cake. Isn't it cute?

The ferns are back. Yea! Now, it feels like spring.  We're all ready to continue our Easter tradition of taking a family picture on the front steps after church by the ferns.
