Halloween

Here are the kiddoes in their Halloween costumes. Andrew's a dinosaur, Ethan's a dog and Hannah's in her Halloween clothes, a pumpkin shirt and candy corn pants. Why didn't I dress her in costume? Because this 17 month old wouldn't keep one on. I knew not to try. I can barely keep her clothes on her daily. She rips out every ponytail, barrette and bow. She takes her socks and shoes off constantly. A costume wouldn't have lasted 2 minutes one her. We missed the normal church carnival that we attend every year and due to the rain, we ended up at the mall. The kids liked it okay. But the daylight savings time change has been hard on them. By the end of the night, Andrew actually asked to leave to go home to go to bed.

Fall Festival Countdown

This was the way the boys went out to get the mail this afternoon. Can you tell it's fall and that THE countdown is on? Every year we go to a local church's "Fall Festival" around the time of Halloween. It's the best thing to do instead of trick or treating in Knoxville. It's like attending the local fair but admission is almost free, just one bag of candy per child is requested. We've gone for the past few years and just love it!

I've been searching for a new costume for Andrew. He wants another dinosaur costume (surprise, surprise) this time a pterodactyl one and ebay has them. So we've been searching and waiting to bid which has increased their excitement for the fall festival. This morning, they asked to wear their costumes from last year and have worn them almost all day. I made them take them off for meals of course but they put them quickly back on after each one. So at Andrew's request, here's the picture on the blog for all the family to see.
