I was "tagged" by my friend Suzanne to post 5 random things about me on the blog last week. Sorry that it's taken me a while to comply with her wishes. I've really been thinking about this for a few days. It shouldn't be hard to do but has been. I feel like I have the same old standbys. Ones that everyone knows. But when my friend Sandy at church reminds me that I've been tagged, I figure that I should try to write something.
Here are the old stanbys:
1. I have always been part of the two-some "Jason and Shelley." My twin brother, "younger by 7 minutes but taller by 10 inches" is named Jason. But growing up it was "Shelley and Jason" because I was born first. Now that I'm married to a Jason, the two-some is "Jason and Shelley" because it's customary to called the couple by the husband's name first.
2. I was born with a tear duct on the outside corner of my right ear. And yes, it does drip when I cry and eat. Now a days, doctors do not call it a tear duct, but a tear pit. It's just where the ear did not develop correctly in the womb. No, none of my children have it. I did look though at each of their ears at birth though to see.
New random things:
3. My teeth are EXTREMELY weak. I had my first root canal at 18. I have had so many root canals, crowns, fillings, bonds, etc. that you would have to get my dentist Dr. Barbee to tell you how many crowns I have. He'd be much better at telling you. I'd skip one. I have bonds on my top and lower front teeth because I've chipped them too many times to count. On what you ask? Ruffles potato chips, pizza, and just 2 weeks ago, chex mix. A molar chipped by chex mix! Can you believe it? That reminds me, I need to go make an appointment with Dr. Barbee again for that tooth.
4. I love Pottery Barn. My desire is for my house to look like a room, any room from their catalogs. You can really see it in the boys' room. I got the stripes idea from one of their catalogs.
5. I love to clean. It's a stress reliever for me. I especially love a clean and orderly house. I cannot stand it when my house is messy or disorganized. My husband's office is driving me crazy right now. I'll even stay awake for hours after Care Group trying to get my house back in order. Guess I need to move my cleaning days to Saturdays instead of Fridays.

Shelley - My tear duct (pit) is outside my right eye - it waters/drips all the time. People either think I'm always crying and then because it is visible always tell me I have something in my eye. According to my mother, mine is a result of a forceps accident at my birth. :o/
