Family Update

What a week! To give you all a quick update on the past week: I'm glad it's over.

Jason is doing better. Thank you all for praying for a quick recovery. He's been working a few hours here and there since the wreck Wednesday morning. He is still not fully recovered but the prescriptions are helping with his neck and back pain. Please continue to pray for a speed recovery and for a quick resolution with the other driver's insurance company.

Ethan: I got the bad new Wednesday morning (just as Jason was getting hit) that Ethan has two cavities. For a three year old that's very bad news because pediatric dentists do not fill cavities in the office, you have outpatient surgery completed at Children's Hospital under anesthesia. Sound familiar? We took Andrew to have the same procedure done August 2004 when he was 3. So here we are again facing huge dental bills. Yuk! After learning the hard way with Andrew, drastic changes have been done with Ethan. He has an electric toothpaste that is used daily and flosses as well. So what happened? Dr. Mysinger said that the enamel just didn't grow in properly on his teeth leaving them exposed. Poor guy. So please pray for us and him as we set a date for the dental work to be performed. Pray for finances to be provided and that he will not respond harshly (with vomiting) to the anesthesia.

Hannah: Had a virus for a few days with a high fever last week which brought many sleepless night to the Hill household. Even Andrew was awakened. After sharing a room with Ethan for 3 years, it takes a Polar Express train to wake him up now. So you get an idea of how loud her cries were. During that time she broke two teeth in. One bottom and one top. The pediatrician said she's working on 8 right now. Her gums are so swollen up that it looks like the size of a green pea sitting on the top two front teeth. What's next? Crawling. Gotta get her crawling.

Andrew: Has the same high fever virus that Hannah did. Slept more than I've ever seen him. He's been busy attending all his buddies 5th birthday parties. Today, he came home from Parker's party. It was at The Home Depot. All the little boys did a woodworking project (made wood cars) then ate at Chick-fil-A. He even got an orange smock like The Home Depot workers. He's busy planning his 5th birthday party. He turns 5 on the first day of spring, March 20. We'll post pictures later.

Shelley: Busy taking care of the other 4 Hills. Missed 4 straight weeks of church due to family member's viruses, stomach bugs, and colds. Made it back for 1 week then Hannah and Andrew got sick the next Sunday. Can't wait until tomorrow morning. It'll be good to hear a message and sing during worship.
