Family Fun Day

This year instead of having our normal spring church picnic, CCK (Cornerstone Church of Knoxville) hosted it's first Family Fun Day. It was Sunday after church from 2-5. There was a doughnut eating contest for the men, a ladies' bake off, a mini-carousel, blow up jumping games for the kids, face painting, popcorn, snowcones, cotton candy, volleyball, basketball, and more.

The boys had a blast. Hannah? Well she was okay as long as she was in the shade eating. We invited our neighbor Emma and her son Cole to go with us and she graciously agreed. Cole is 4 months older than Hannah. Here are some pictures of our fun day.

By 5:00 the boys were filthy. Feet were black from the parking lot, because they had to take their shoes off before going in the jumping games. So of course there were many kids running from one game to the next with barefeet. They were sticky from the snow cones, buttery from the popcorn and Andrew was covered in paint. He got a a green T-Rex painted on one cheek, a dinosaur footprint on the other, and a claw on both hands. Typical 5 year old boy, huh? Ethan wasn't interested in having his face painted yet.

Jason had to participate in the doughnut eating contest. No, he didn't win, he actually ate slowly because he saw another team was winning and didn't want to get sick eating doughnuts on a hot afternoon day. He finishing three doughnuts before another team won while his teammate had already eaten 6 before him. The goal was to be the first two man team to eat a dozen.

I didn't do anything big, just followed the kids around taking in great memories of how much fun we had.
