Children's Festival of Reading

To all my Knoxville friends:

On Saturday, June 3, at World's Fair Park, the Library will host children's writers, storytellers, magicians, puppet shows, musicians and more for FREE!

The Children's Festival of Reading is more than just a one-day event; it is the beginning of a child's summer reading journey. The goal of the Festival is to increase the number of kids who sign up for the Summer Library Club program by at least 20%. My good friend, Honey called me this morning to tell me that one of the prizes for completing 20 books is a free ticket to ride the Three Rivers Rambler. I can't believe it! Maybe this time the Smith and the Hill children will be able to ride but Honey and I will make reservations first this time!
