GrandDad and Hannah's Birthday Weekend

She's 1!
Our little black haired baby girl is now 1 year old. She's changed a lot these past 12 months. She looks just like her brothers. Depending on who you talk to some say she looks like Andrew, other say Ethan. But everyone is in agreement that she looks just like Shelley. Not one person has said in the last 12 months that Hannah Claire favors her Daddy. Her hair color has changed drastically. She has brown hair now with a hint of red in it like her Cousin Pam.

Here are pictures of our birthday celebration weekend in Smyrna, TN with GrandDad (Jason's Dad) and Hannah. GrandDad's birthday was on the 2nd and Hannah's the 6th. We celebrated with GrandMommy, GrandDad, MamaJane (Jason's grandmother), Amy and Austin. Uncle Michael, Jason's brother, was out of town because of work but Amy (his girlfriend) and her son Austin were able to make it to the party.

Chocolate cupcakes with Elmo plates, cups and napkins for the kids and assorted flavored cheesecakes for the adults were served. Hannah received lots of clothes! Just what she needed. She also got a play phone, stuffed bunny, bouncy ball, and a doll that goes in the bathtub. Her favorite by far is a new baby doll that comes with a rubber duck, play bottle and can be put in the bathtub. She will yell at Ethan if he tries to take it away. She picks it up and hugs it by her neck and twists her body back and forth like she's rocking it.

She wasn't interested in the cupcake because she was completely content with her milk. She got too close to the flame and when everyone blew it out, the hot wax got on her hand and arm. It was so sad to have the birthday girl crying terribly hard because of the burn on her arm. But it quickly went away, no red marks left within the hour. She never ate her cake or ice cream but did settle down enough to open her presents.

Thanks to everyone who called and sang "Happy Birthday" on the answering machine. We're sorry that we missed our Memphis family but will see you in July for a week. Can't wait to see Brad's lake house and take the boys out in the boat.
