Our first week of kindergarten conluded with a trip to the Knoxville Zoo. Friday morning we got up early to hit the zoo before the heat hit us hard. My goal was to see the bird show. It tied in with our Science focus this week on birds. The kids had a fun time, hot and tired and sweaty by the time that we left but memorable. It makes me long for cool fall days wearing jeans and sweatshirts.

Where is that big nest?? I've never seen it there.
It's in Kids Cove in the back by the the beavers and ducks.
