What a yucky day! Yesterday was rough. Really rough. I haven't had a day like that in a while. It all started at the dentist's office. I had to get a molar repaired. I had broken a corner piece off of it. So I got 3 shots to numb the tooth and a loud drill. The medicine made me feel light headed and very drugged well in to the afternoon. So we didn't start school until after lunch. Hannah had her worst fall yet. She fell off her glider rocker backwards (like the Lipton Ice Tea Plunge), twisted in mid air, then fell on her face into the wooden books basket. Oh, it was heart wrenching. I was standing right there correcting her brother for not obeying me. He had placed tons of animals on her again, so she stood up to get them off. I was correcting her and telling her to sit down while I quickly threw all the animals off of her. Then it happened. She just tumbled off backwards. I missed grabbing her arm within inches. The thump sound would have made anyone sick to their stomachs. Plus I saw where she hit. Needless to say I quickly gave her some Tylenol, put ice on it, and sat with her in my lap for the better part of the afternoon. I affected me so much that I dreamed she was falling off the playroom couch and I dove to catch her. Well, I REALLY DOVE to catch her. I woke up after literally diving off the bed and skidding on my knees on the floor. I barely missed the nightstand and the cedar chest. Scared Jason to death, he actually woke up this time to something! My body crashing on the floor! My knees got rug burns and one was a little sore this morning. But I'm okay. Hannah's betting better too. As the librarian said today, "she looks like she got into a bar fight and lost."
