Ethan has always been the poor child that has been low on having friends his own age and sex. The year that he was born seemed to be the year that all our closest friends had baby girls. So for almost 4 years now, when asked who his friends are, he'd reply Preston, Parker, and Nathan. Those boys are 2 years older and are really Andrew's friends. That is until soccer season started when Phillip came around. His older sister Ashley is on Andrew's team. Phillip is only 2 months younger than Ethan and they are becoming fast buddies. We don't see Phillip very much because he comes from a big family where Phillip's best friends are his siblings. Now Phillip is in Ethan's class at church and has been since birth but it took an extracurricular activity like soccer to get them to be best buddies. They should be good friends after the season is over because they will have had 2 playdates a week for 2 1/2 months straight.
