Update on Andrew
As most of you know, Andrew has very weak teeth like his Mommy and little brother. Last week, at his dental check-up we were told that he had two more cavities that needed to be filled. They were tiny little ones that popped up between his molars where only a good flosser would get them clean. The last time that he had major dental work done, he was barely three years old and ended up having 6 root canals and 2 cavities filled with a whopping bill of over $2500. So Jason and I were a little burdened this past week waiting to see how high the bill would be and if they would be able to get them filled without taking him back to Children's Hospital. Well, Dr. Mike Mysinger is the best pediatric dentist in Knoxville. He filled two cavities in under 20 minutes in the office this morning. Andrew was a trooper. He was very brave and sat very still for them, especially after getting the happy gas to smell. They even gave him a certificate of bravery and a coupon for a free kids meal at Chick-fil-A. His poor mouth was dead asleep until after lunch today but of course in typical Andrew style, that didn't keep him from eating. What a sight! His lower mouth was covered in food. But he's all better now and can't wait to go to Chick-fil-A.

Have you ever thought about getting a sealance (I don't know if I spelled it right) put on his teeth? You might have already done this, but it really helped me and my brothers when we were little. My mom used to take us to the dental school in Little Rock for that and it was really cheap. I'm glad Andrew did so well.
Katie,
Thanks for the suggestion. We did get sealants put on both boys' teeth. Sealants are only put on molar teeth in the middle which didn't help this time because the cavities were on the sides of the molars.
