With all the traveling during the holidays to see the extended family, Jason and I decided to open our gifts early with the kids. The kids and I decided that this year, all three children would get their father a special gift that they got to choose. So we headed downtown to a new Knoxville store called the Mast General Store. It's like a clothing, camping, outdoor, old timey candy store all rolled in to one. Andrew bought Jason a new camping book, Ethan got him a new LED flashlight and Hannah picked a camping tool that has the time, temp and a compass on it. He loved them all!
Jason and I bought the boys new board games, puzzles, and video games. For their stocking stuffer, they received new slippers, Lighting McQueen and Mater from the new Cars movie. Hannah got more baby dolls, play food and an Elmo doll. She loved her toys so much that she refused to let go of them at bedtime and had to sleep with them, just like her older brother Ethan does ever night. He doesn't have stuffed animals all in his bed. He sleeps with hot wheels cars and airplanes and tons of hard metal objects sure to hurt him when he rolls over on them. But he's never complained and still loves to sleep that way.
Jason received a worldband radio from me and a new book and I received some new wall shelves for my dining room.
Can't wait to celebrate with the extended family next week! Merry Christmas everyone.
