The Home Depot's Kids Workshop

A new tradition that we have been enjoying and are trying to continue is on the first Saturday morning of every month at The Home Depot. It's called Kids Workshop. It's a free event that The Home Depot puts on at their stores where parents and their children can drop by sometime that morning before 12 to "do" a project together. This is great! We love it. Parents and their kids walk in to a special area designated for the workshop complete with free cookies and drinks. The Home Depot kindly gives each child their own orange apron (for free) that they can put their own name on. Then, after they complete their project, they receive a pin to put on their apron with a picture of what they made. Normally, Jason and the boys have been going, but Hannah and I got to join them recently. Hannah even got her own apron, but she'll have to grow into it because it touches the floor when on her. So today, we decided to paint some of our latest projects. Here are the boys painting a heart napkin holder, and plastic bag holder boxes. You can even see their orange Home Depot race cars that they made too in the bottom of the picture.
