Kindergarten Science 101

After reviewing with Mom, Andrew's kindergarten year, I'm very pleased with our progress. Andrew is on a 1st grade level with most subjects now and the only thing that she suggested that I bump up was Science. That's something we do about twice a week. So here's our latest project. It was about learning how to build strong structures. I found it in an Usborne book called 100 Science Experiments. The goal was to make a tower strong enough to hold a piece of paper with a toy car on it. The materials were marshmallows and spaghetti noodles. Andrew did it the first try! Here's a picture of the proud architect with his tower. Ethan, well he built harder and faster than all of us. First he made an enclosed circle but couldn't figure out how to build up very well. Not bad for a 4 year old though.
