Saturday afternoon, we headed out for Andrew's 1st soccer game of the season in the HEAT! It was hot, very hot! He was a trooper, and didn't complain about the heat once. The team lost 1-0 but that didn't damper his spirit. He just loves playing soccer and was sad to wake up to Sunday morning where there was no practice or game. He just kept begging me to play in the backyard with him. At this point in my pregnancy, I said no and reminded him that I gave him a brother and sister that can play soccer with him. He didn't seem to enjoy my response. Mommy can play a mean game of "sharks and minnows" in the backyard when she doesn't have a watermelon growing in her tummy and he knows it.
Our sweet neighbor, Mrs. Linda even came out to cheer Andrew on. We just love her. She's like the kids' local grandmother who brings over gifts on birthdays and Christmas and candy and toys for no reason. She also has the sweetest dog Ginny who whines and rolls on her back at the chain length fence waiting for us to stick our arms through to pet her tummy.
Enjoy the pictures!
