Celebrating 10 years

10 years ago today....

The family and I were frantically rubbing Simple Green on my wedding gown trying to get rid of the cranberry colored bird poop off my dress.

My sweet friend Laura Campbell ran to Chick-fil-A to get me a Coke while my maid of honor Krista Sagraves ran to the fabric store to buy an applique to sew over the stains.

Our close friends, the Reynolds family were busily preparing the food for the reception.

All my Dad's musician friends were playing and singing during the ceremony and jamming to my favorite R&B music during the reception.

I got to see my sweet father-in-law cry for the first time.

Our friends were busy covering Jason's little white Civic with orange and black Oreo's, then covering the inside with confetti. It was so bad that the confetti would shoot out of the air ducts when you'd take off from a stop.

But the best part was that my gracious and loving God had given me a wonderful man to share the rest of my life with. I am so thankful!

Now ten years later, we get to go away for a few days to celebrate that day all over again. This time closer to home, but probably a sweeter time than all the troubles Cancun gave us. Thanks Cindy and Doss for agreeing to come care for the kids. We're looking so forward to our trip. And thank you to my sweet hubby for 10 memorable years! I love you so much and I'm anticipating what the next 10 years will have for us.
