Here's when I realized that my little baby girl wasn't so little anymore. Last weekend, the girls (Hannah and me) had to go shopping for a hair accessories box. Yes, the old ziploc bag was filled to the brim and it was time for a true box to put her barrettes and hair bows in. I remember seeing an adorable Madeline box before that would match her room perfectly but couldn't find one so we settled for a Hello Kitty Box. I had more fun than she did looking for that box. I remember absolutely loving anything with Hello Kitty on it as a child and knew Hannah would too. So here's our purchase! A pink plastic (that should last for years) box with a pull out drawer in it. She loves it! Jason even asked me if all the accessories inside came with the box. He didn't realize how much stuff you can fit into a small ziploc bag too. Now my next craft project for her is to make her own hair bow holder out of ribbon. All you moms of girls know what I'm talking about. I saw one at an upscale children's store in the mall for $12.00 and knew I could make the same thing for about $3.00. All I need is to get two different colors of ribbon and a silver ring to hot glue them on to, then I'll paint either ballet slippers or ladybugs on them depending on what color ribbon I find. I'll post pictures of it when it's complete.
