My Summer

Now that summer vacation's winding down for us (school starts 8/4), so has my summer project. As of today, my many many hours of pulling clothes, sizing them, hanging them and tagging them for the clothing sale is FINISHED! I go to drop off all seven 60 gallon tupperware boxes this afternoon to a church clothing sale. Since our family is complete now, it was time to sell the kids clothes. I tagged more than 400 items for the Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church sale. It starts tomorrow morning at 9am and will last until Saturday at noon. To all my Knoxville friends.... Come by and say hello to me! I'll be working the Sat shift from 9:30-12:45. I'll be one of the many receiving clerks you meet upon check out.

This summer project has reminded me so much of my college major and my years spent working retail. It's given me a taste of what I've been missing for the last 7 years. I still enjoy it but am thankful to be home everyday with the kids. There's not a more worthy job than training up the next generation! It's funny because just the other day I was offered a part time job too to work for a local realtor as his assistant. Boy did that feel good to get the offer but even better to be able to turn it down. My reason? I have 4 children who need their Mommy and school teacher. :)

If you think about it, please pray for me this weekend. Pray for lots of clothes to sell because we have some new dental work on Andrew, Ethan and me to be done. And without dental insurance, it puts a mighty big dent in the monthly budget. THANKS!
