Hill Academy opened it's doors for the first day of school yesterday with two pupils, Andrew and Ethan. Jason and I decorated the school room with streamers, balloons, welcome to school signs, etc. Waiting for each student at their desk was a special gift filled with new school supplies, a tradition we do every year.
No need for an alarm that morning, the boys were up literally up at the crack of dawn. Ethan woke me up around 6:15 completely dressed telling me his bed was already made up and asking for the special breakfast. I cook a special breakfast the first day of school, another tradition. This year we had Sister Shubert's cinnamon rolls, fruit and turkey bacon. After breakfast, the kids wait on the steps to go into the playroom while we turn the lights on and prep the camera for that one expressive shot that shows their anticipation and excitement for school. As you can see in the slide show, I got some great pictures, sleepy Caleb and Daddy, and two WIDE awake students ready for their new school adventures, and Hannah acting like she was one of the boys (as always).
When you think of us, please pray for our transition to two school aged boys, one preschool girl and one MOBILE 6 month old.
