Here are some cute pictures from Hannah's 1st ballet performance. I didn't get as many pixs as I would have liked but I did get it all on video. Thanks to Cindy and Doss and Mom and Dad for the Christmas money. I used it wisely and FINALLY got a camcorder. Just in time too, for I was able to record Caleb's first steps, his first birthday and Hannah's 1st ballet performance. I'm still needing to buy the firewire cable to download my videos to my pc. But as soon as I do, I'll be able to post videos to the blog. Better late than never right?
We missed having you there to cheer her on. She did great! She wasn't very confident in her steps but was quick to learn to follow along with the older girls in her class that knew it. At least she didn't stand there and not dance at all. Because of that, I was not in the right position in the auditorium to get a good shot of her face, but I have some excellent footage of her side and back of her head. You can even see what a beauty she was in her true ballerina hair bun.
After all the performances were over, all the ballerinas received a single white carnation that just put Hannah over the top. I even got a picture of her hugging it. We then moved in to the lobby of the church and a front meeting room to enjoy food and fellowship together. I was asked to bring cookies for the reception and opted to make some of Mom's all-night cookies that the kids love. So for the past 24 hours all that was on the kids' brains was when do we get to eat cookies? She was quite the happy camper with her performance over, her single carnation flower and an all-night cookie to eat. She even fell asleep on the rocking chair in her ballet outfit as soon as we got home. She had had a MEMORABLE DAY!
