Lego Family

You know you're a LEGO family when the Legos are stored like this. I bought the kids (and me) a craft box to hold their Legos. The sorting took a few hours but was so worth it! Now, it won't take me half a day to rebuild something for Caleb because I'm struggling to find the right piece. Yes, I did that a few Saturdays ago. It took me from lunch to dinner time to rebuild a SpongeBob Squarepants' Crusty Crab restaurant for Caleb. Even then, I finished it only through the help of the other 2 boys. I decided then that the kids' Lego storage would have to change.

Now, they are all sorted by color. There are separate boxes for their instruction manuals, and Lego magazines, and there's even a big drawer to keep their creations in progress. Our only struggle now is to keep Caleb from dumping them all out on the floor at the same time. The good news is that each box has a lid on it that's too strong for him to open by himself. Whoohoo!
