My recipe binders

I'm almost done with my recipe binders but just wanted to show you my progress so far. I broke down and purchased scrapbook pages for the covers at JoAnn's and just love it now. It's more my style especially since I found this great red basket to put both my binders in. I've been adding some more color to my kitchen lately, mainly a few punches of red. It all goes well together even with my little red teapot on the stove.

I also switched out my GAP silver metal basket that has held my silver serving utensils since I worked at the GAP 10+ years ago. I bought a white planter bowl. Can you tell it's a planter box? Nah, not unless you happened to see it in the garden center at the store. I especially love the side of it. It has sweet little flowers and curly handles. It really changed the look of that area of the kitchen and I can almost see the white beadboard and new countertops there! Come on Uncle Sam, direct deposit my return quickly, I've got some projects waiting on me.
