Spelling

Today, I asked Andrew to dictate Hannah's spelling words to her in school. After listening to him for a few minutes as I graded his math, I heard him start giggling. Then he started laughing out loud, then "hee-hawing." I realized that he had stopped giving her the correct words and was giving her new words that spelled a sentence.

Here's what he made her write. "I'm ready to hit your face." She wrote it this way and never caught on to his silliness, "i'm wheady to hit whour fase." Can you tell we've been working on "wh" words?

After reading her words out loud, she flew in to a rage trying to desperately beat him up. She didn't and can't, poor girl. Destined to live with 4 silly boys for many more years to come.
