DIYing it again

Did you know that you can easily strip paint off hardware by simply boiling it in water? It works! I am stripping off the painted kitchen cabinet hardware during our kitchen cabinet remodel.

I learned this trick from a Pinterest post from the magazine, "The Family Handyman." I used an old pot that will never cook food in it again to do this. It only took 2 hours before the paint peeled off like a sticker. Whoohoo! The bad news is that my super old hardware looks like it had 3 different colored metals on it and can't be salvaged. Bummer.
