Georgia and Molly

This post is for my mom. She asked for a picture of Georgia and Molly. Just the other day, Georgia climbed up on the couch with Hannah as she was finishing her schoolwork on a rainy and cold Monday morning. She is normally not even allowed to be upstairs much less on the couch. Guess Georgia feels like if its okay for Molly to do, then she should be allowed too as well. I let her stay there for a few minutes to get the picture but quickly shooed her to the floor.

With Georgia getting older and calmer, we have started to let her stay inside more without being in a crate. She has calmed down so much that we are able to let her sleep in the playroom at night on a dog bed. For the last two years, she either slept in her doghouse outside or inside in her crate but this winter will be different. She outgrew her crate this year and we haven't gotten around to replacing it. Truthfully, I think we might be past the age where we need one for her. I'd love to not have to spend $100 on a new crate.

Molly on the other hand is the clean one of the two. She is also known as "The Queen Bee." She is allowed to sleep and go anywhere. Normally, at night she sleeps at the foot of one of the kids' beds. Lately, she's been pushing her way in on their pillows at night. This is how I found Ethan the other night. Poor child, he had no pillow room and was sleeping with a crooked neck. Molly sure looks content and happy though. Queen Bee ruling from her throne, right there.

We are hoping that the two girls will get more comfortable with each other this year. Georgia gets too excited when seeing Molly and scares her away. Also, Molly has not forgiven Georgia for chasing her up trees when Georgia was younger. Georgia chased her way too many times to count.

Seeing them trying to sleep on the couch makes me think it won't be long until the tolerate each other a littl more. Peace in the house between these two would be a great blessing. One we all are looking forward to.
