So here I am again trying to potty train another boy. This is Ethan's second attempt at potty training. His mother had high ambitions of training him before Hannah's birth in May. Last spring I put him in big boy underwear, set the timer to go off every 30 minutes and used stickers, candy, chocolate, etc. to reward him. After a week of scrubbing carpet and mopping floors while 7 months pregnant, I gave up. I said I'd try again in the summer. He never once made it in the potty. As we now approach winter, yes I know I skipped a few seasons, I'm trying again. So this is the week. Please pray for us! Monday was a good day. Yes, we actually had some action in the potty and yes, I feel like I'm house breaking a puppy. The funniest event of the day was the demand to wear his Bob the Builder underwear backwards. Ethan thought that Travis the tractor was supposed to be in the front so that HE could see him. So I gave in, anything at this point to encourage him to wear big boy underwear and use the potty. So here is my big boy showing off for the camera. He's the ham in the family. Wish you all could have been here to hear the roaring laughter from Andrew when he saw his little brother. Andrew laughed and laughed and told Ethan he was a silly little boy. But it worked and hopefully soon we'll only have one in diapers.

That is too funny, Shelley! Maybe Ethan can give my boys some tips in the spring!
