Our latest discovery
Does the phrase April showers bring May flowers apply for different months? In Knoxville this winter it does! I guess December showers bring January flowers could be our new catch phrase. As I pulled up the roman shade in the playroom this morning, look what I saw. My flowers are sprouting. It's January 24. We just started winter and my flowers are growing fast and furious. They are sprouting out at the house, the planter boxes, the front bed. Everywhere! I'm going to have a beautiful colored yard by February if we keep having these warm days. Whatever happened to the prediction that this was going to be one of the coldest winters in recent years> Is it on the way or were the predictions sadly mistaken? If my flowers bloom in February, I'll post pictures for you all to see. Happy January garndening.

Do you remember the afternoon we spent working in the flower garden at the house, putting down fresh peet moss, only to later that day have it all washed away by a downpour?
How can I forget? All that money and hard work washed down that steep driveway. I sure don't miss that house but do miss hanging out with all the roommates.
