Last Saturday was Discover Your Knoxville Day. It was devoted to Knoxvillians getting to know area attractions better. How better than to offer area attractions free of charge? Our destination was the Three Rivers Rambler. It's Knoxville's passenger train that takes riders on an hour and a half ride around East Tennessee. Because of prior disappointments, we did not tell the boys where we were going, just that we were going on a special outing. Boarding was at 4:30, we arrived around 4 to see hundreds of people already in line. Missed it again, second time in a row. So we walked around the train, saw the engine back up and couple to the other cars and load up. The boys were almost in tears. Backup plan? Go over to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and play ball. Now Jason and I are not big basketball fans and a whole museum devoted to the history of Women's Basketball was quite boring to us. Thank goodness for the open play area. There was a whole area devoted to letting the kids and adults play and for that reason was why we went and it was free. We had a great time playing, even Hannah got involved.
