20 pounds of strawberries! That's what we picked Wednesday night in less than an hour. The cultivar of strawberries are the sweetest ones available but they are very tiny. The best part is that they only cost $1.25 pound and they are pesticide-free. Andrew even filled up his bucket half way this year. That's an accomplishment since in years past his bucket has been empty when we've gone to check-out. He would pick and eat every berry that he found. Ethan and Hannah had a great power nap in the van which left Jason, Andrew and me plenty of free hands to pick away. When we tried to wake Ethan up to give him time to pick some too, Hannah awoke as well. So Hannah and I played in the van while the three guys finished filling up their buckets.
The boys highlight was feeding the goats again. We do this every year after picking fruit and berries. We saw our favorite little goat again. He has no ears. He actually played around with Ethan too trying to eat his shoes. I got a great picture of his mouth on Ethan's shoe right before Ethan kicked him away. Oh, don't worry, Ethan didn't hurt him. They were only playing.
