As we enjoy the weekend, something exciting looms to hit us hard on Monday morning, it's the first day of school. Andrew will start first grade on Monday the 6th. So this weekend included my yearly trip to buy new school supplies, which he honestly didn't need but I started a tradition last year that WILL be upheld every year. On the first day of school, the kids are treated to an extra special breakfast before heading down to see the redecorated school room complete with surprise presents waiting on the school table. Last year I even decorated it with balloons and streamers which was great to occupy Ethan and Hannah's time as we started our school year. So you'll most likely find me down in the schoolroom Sunday night around 9pm putting up new bulletin boards, rearranging the furniture, hanging streamers and blowing up balloons. It's such a special treat to be able to home school and I'm looking forward to another fun year. I'll post pictures of the first day of school later in the week.

What a neat tradition! What a blessing that you've been able to get everything together! I'll pray for you this week as you begin school.
