Hannah and the cake

Maggie, Hannah and Lydia

We had a sweet time at Hannah's tea party last Saturday. All three little girls came and enjoyed lunch together on Hannah's plastic picnic set from Jason and Melissa. I decorated the school table with a pink tablecloth, pink napkins, and of course pink flowers. We were going to have the tea party in the backyard but we had a terrible storm that dropped buckets of rain all over our backyard which left it a muddy mess. So I set everything up in the playroom for the girls instead.
The first thing we did was make bracelets for the girls with their mommy's help of course. Then we had lunch. Chicken salad on croissant rolls, fruit, chips and dip and cake and ice cream for dessert. This year I made the cake to look like a tea pot. I think it looked GREAT! One of best cakes yet for an inexperienced cake decorator. Then we opened gifts and played a little more before the girls had to go home for their afternoon naps. Overall, Hannah's request to have a tea party with her girlfriends turned out memorable. We had a great time with great friends and great food.
