No rain out today made for 4 very hot and tired Hill kids. Temps were in the 90's, there was not a cloud in the sky and we were baking. We came away with 2 losses and 1 tie. The big news is that Ethan saved over 5 goals, 6 we think. We had a big distraction named Caleb with us today. All he wanted was to have what was not his, do what he wasn't supposed to do and sleep across my lap with his huge pillow. Yea, it was one of those days when "the white pillow" was given the priviledge of accompanying him around town.
Hannah was surprisingly aggressive today. When she was on the offense, she was a little ball hog. She tried so hard to get a goal for her team but came up unsuccessful this week. In practice, she was never this way, mostly sitting back and watching, But today, you could describe her as a little firecracker!
Andrew was our great defender, as always. His age league is now using the full soccer league which is new for him and he's one of the younger guys out there. His division are 4th and 5th graders. Most of them are taller than me, and Andrew's the shortest one out there. What we noticed was different was how fast the players are. It will be good for Andrew to learn a faster soccer.
Thankfully, this weekend's games have come and gone without a hitch. Remember Ethan needing stitches after colliding with another player 2 seasons ago? No broken bones or stitches needed here today. Jason was the only one needed a band aid though. He cut his finger open on the chain length fence while hopping it to run after Caleb (as usual). We run after Caleb a lot.
