"A Christmas Carol"

I'm going to L-O-V-E  Knox County's new "Penny Performances" program.  It started this fall and was designed to encourage all kids of Knox County, TN the chance to experience more "arts" in their lives.  It offers public, private and home schooled kids the opportunity to go to plays, musicals, ballets, museums and more for a penny or for FREE with a paying parent.  I have desired to take the kids to more plays and museums but the cost for a family of 6 to go out sometimes can run in the hundreds.

So I opted for our first performance to be the University of Tennessee's play "A Christmas Carol."  Since I had the opportunity to go in college I decided to stay home with Caleb and let Jason go with the older 3 kids.  The tickets were the best you could ask for.  They were in the middle of the theater in the pit as Jason called it, second row center seats. The kids all came home raving about it and even the next day they talked about their favorite parts. I'm so thankful they had the opportunity to go. Next year Jason said the 6 of us will go. Yippee!
