With the super cold and snowy Tuesday here in Knoxville, I needed some time fillers for the kids to do in school today. So we made Gingerbread Men out of cardboard. Each child decorated it with buttons, a face, and I hot glued a green bow on them.
The best part about them are their legs that move. I bent the cardboard back for them to run and added extra pieces to the back of their legs so the kids' fingers could go in to make them move. Then I read the book to them and they acted it out. Hannah was the sneaky sly fox in the end and pretended to eat Ethan's gingerbread man up. The little ones loved the pretend play and I love it when they laugh uncontrollably over something.
