What a Monday we had. It rained harder than we have ever seen it in the 6 years we been in this house. The backyard is a total washout, mud everywhere. I had just replaced the kids' swings with new ones since Georgia tore up the old ones, then the rains came. They didn't even get to swing before the thunderstorms hit hardWe're hoping and praying for sun and lots of it now. With the looks of our backyard, we won't be out there 'til next weekend.
After school was done, I pulled out the craft boxes again since there was not going to be any outside play today. We made a St. Patrick's Day craft for the kitchen table. We made little pots of gold complete with a rainbow overhead and coins inside. We also added some grass and shamrocks flowers. Caleb especially loves it! Mostly, he loves to take all the coins out, put them all in one pot, rip all the rainbows off and stack up the flowers on the table. Demolition, that's what he's all about these day. Total annihilation of whatever he touches. But we did enjoy the "crafting time" together before Tornado Caleb came through town.
